Artist Statement

Currently I am working to document Prospect Park, a park that is near by in Brooklyn that the community enjoy as an escape from urban living. I have a photography and painting background that shows through in my work. Often I paint from my own photographs. I am a big fan of impressionism and realism mixed together which is quite difficult to achieve. Early Picasso is an excellent example of this style. A few of the many painters I admire are Richard Diebencorn, Alice Neel and William Turner.
